Over the last few years, we have witnessed a surge in projects dealing with refurbing existing facades. We ourselves have been involved in a number of these across the country and are proud to understand the process fully now. From what the client needs down to the contractor and install contractor we bridge that gap with construction design. Our product in tight timeframes allows the install contractor to confidently order materials in time, install them efficiently but more importantly all to the correct and updated specification required. We liaise closely with the Client/Main Contractor/Architect to take existing buildings where information is limited to produce a quality design that allows the Project to maintain its timeframe and prove a future proofed new façade.  We have also merged into on site consultation, giving frequent independent reports of install quality, correct product applied and correct build methodology. A good grasp of the fire industry, and decades experience with facades proves a good mix when dealing with these necessary refurbs. The experience allows us also to advise of poor existing fabric and existing products.

Not to rest on our laurels too much, in the previous number of years we have had the opportunity to work with and alongside some of the top Cladding contractors on some very prestigious Data Centres throughout the UK and Europe. Design can be quite onerous especially with tight time frames and stringent design/product parameters. From total envelope solutions to small feature facades we have seen it all.

Cladit Design has now entered its 6^th successful year of trading, offering a reliable and swift service.  With an ever increasing client base and projects throughout the UK and Channel Islands, we would like to think that we have really established our own niche in this busy sector of the construction industry. With a recent increase in Roofing projects we are pleased to start diversifying into other sectors of the industry.

Also in 2012, Cladit Design has entered into the Irish Rainscreen market and we are committed to offering the same level of expertise and advice that is currently available in the UK. With a growing number of contacts, and being Irish myself, I feel this is a natural progression in our offering. With our knowledge of the UK Rainscreen Industry we bring extensive experience to the table of any contractor. Our existing clients return time and time again which hopefully demonstrates to any new clients that we tailor our service to their exact and specific requirements. The timing is great for expansion beyond the UK - modern working techniques in construction drawings offices throughout the world mean that distance isn’t a problem for us.  99% of drawings issued in PDF and DWF format via email or an online collaboration sites results in less face to face time or design team meetings. So much so, that in some recent contracts we have made cost savings for our clients as there has been no need to factor in design team meetings into our pricing structure. We are based in the Midlands in the UK so are very well served with multiple daily direct flights to Dublin, Cork, Belfast and Knock and plan to also have a base in Ireland, close to Dublin, in the very near future.

We have established a group of reliable extra temporary staff, available to cover peaks in workload which means we are equipped to deal the busiest periods without overlooking any of our clients needs irrespective of the size of contract.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our clients, established and new, for their on-going support. We feel privileged to work and have worked on some of the country’s stand out buildings through our clients. Cladit Design was formed in early 2007 to offer cladding sub-contractors another design option. Typically Cladit Designs target market is the independent cladding contractor who doe not have the luxury of in house design. Cladit also offers a backup service to larger organizations whose current design team are overloaded.

Cladit Design brings with it over eight years of experience in the construction field and the UK cladding industry and can offer excellent product knowledge to the client. With an in depth knowledge of cladding design coupled with site experience makes for invaluable insight at early design stages for any project. Being able to foresee problems and value engineer a project is a must for any Cladding sub-contractor.

Company owner and Director Michael Mills has gained his numerous years’ experience in cladding design offices with a number of major UK cladding companies since 2000.

Michael Mills qualified in 1999 with a Distinction mark from a four year full time Diploma in Construction and Fire Engineering degree from Letterkenny Institute of Technology in Co Donegal, Ireland. Vast experience can be called on from all versions of AutoCAD. General construction knowledge alongside a strong knowledge of fire in construction makes for a potent mix of expertise within the cladding industry.
